
Don't be scared of bees

There is an ecology in your garden which is invisible yet so important. This ecology is mostly kept alive by the insects and birds that inhabit your garden. But usually not wasps. They kill off the bee population, and the caterpillar population which produces butterflies.

Wasps kill off gardens. By this I mean they destroy a large percentage of the insect life. Most insects are great for your garden and promote good microbial activity. Microbes in a garden and promote decomposition, nutrient cycling, and… the overall health of plants.

But don’t be scared of bees. They are the living yellow and black jewels of nature. Of course you don’t want a hive on your doorstep. But some hovering around your garden? Blow them a kiss.
